Paris to stop all flights to and from the UK as a precautionary measure due to security concerns, according to a travel advisory issued by French travel agency Ma Travel.
The Paris-Beauvoir-Roubaix route has become the first European route to be banned due to the threat of terrorists, as the country prepares for a massive military exercise next week.
“We are taking these measures in the interests of the safety and security of our citizens, our staff and visitors and of all other travelers and visitors to France,” the agency said in a statement.
“We are urging all of our passengers to avoid travel on our flights to France.”
The Paris to Brussels route has been affected by similar travel restrictions, and the first flights to Britain have been cancelled for the next four days.
The Paris-Amiens route, which has been closed since May, will not be affected.
The Euro 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in France are due to start on June 14.
