A woman with a pet named Sparrow has been stranded in Greece, and she’s hoping someone will give her a $1,000 gift card to get her to her destination.
The woman, who has a name that doesn’t end with a vowel, is one of thousands of Americans stranded on Greece after the country’s economic crisis began.
Sparrow, who lives in the United States, is a pet of a woman who lives a few blocks away.
After the Greek government began cutting back on domestic flights to the United Kingdom in January, Sparrow was forced to take her to Greece because she could no longer fly on her own.
She was also given a $20 gift card, which she has now been using to pay for her trip.
She says the gift card will help her pay for the two-day flight.
“I want to thank everyone who helped me,” Sparrow told the Daily Mail.
“Thank you so much.”
Sparrow is not the only pet in the family.
There are two other pets, both named Sparrow, in the U.S., but she says she hasn’t heard back from anyone.
Sparrow is now hoping someone can give her the gift she needs to make her way home.
“The people who helped us are so generous, and so kind,” she said.
“We don’t know how we are going to survive, but we will.
I’m grateful to all of you who helped.”
