A travel trailer in Utah can cause more than $2.5 million in damage, according to a report by insurance broker Travel Insurance Services.
The report found a single travel trailer can cause $1,500 in damage in a single crash, and $2 million in total damage, depending on the size of the trailer.
It is a large amount of money to pay out of pocket for repairs and a loss of income.
“This is an insurance company’s nightmare,” said Josh Zuckerman, senior director of corporate strategy at Travel Insurance.
If you own a trailer, you should contact your insurer or car rental company to learn about how to prevent damage from a trailer.
It is a good idea to take a crash test to ensure you are not at fault for the trailer’s damage.
If you have a trailer with a tow hitch, your insurance company can provide a discount on the cost of a tow to prevent a collision.
